Nina began showing at Grand Prix level at age 18 and turned professional at age 19, working for Dick Carvin, Francie Steinwedell and Susie Schroer at Meadow Grove Farm. After 7 years at Meadow Grove Nina moved to Northern California and opened Estancia Farms in Petaluma, CA with her husband Mariano Alario.

Today Nina and Mariano still live in Petaluma with their son and daughter, where their business has become one of the most successful Hunter/Jumper show barns in Northern California.

Herrera- Alario

Nina Alario was born and raised in Southern California. She grew up on her family’s ranch in Santa Ynez, CA. Nina's love of horses and riding began very early. By age 12 Nina was a very active and competitive Hunter/Jumper rider. Training under Susan Hutchison, Karen Healy, Carlton Brooks and Bob Walker throughout her Junior career Nina became one of the top riders on the circuit in the Equitation, Junior Hunters and Junior Jumpers divisions.
